Every day new members are becoming a part of the Network Marketing Home Based Business Community, and for good reason, it provides opportunity for passive residual income and the prospects of earning wealth. The unfortunate thing is that most will drop out at some point during their first year. This is a sad statistic, because business, any kind of business, is not a quick gratification, it is long term. This is not to say that it is impossible to garner a level of success during year one of your Network Marketing enterprise, but that you should not place expectancies on it. Your focus should not be on the money, your focus should be on building a successful business. Once you have built a successful business, you will find that money is the byproduct of that accomplishment.

You must have confidence in yourself, and the work ethic and patience to support it. The line to top level income does not go straight up, you will experience dips. Sometimes during the early months those dips bottom out. Dusting yourself off and pressing forward when things do not appear to be going in the right direction separates the men and women from the boys and girls. Entrepreneurs and investors know that the zig zag line rises higher in the end than the straight up line. Your Network Marketing business will experience attrition. Not everyone that joins forces into your business is going to remain. Business is a paradigm shift for those that are conditioned to spend their lives working for someone else. We all want and desire the accomplishment of financial freedom, but once properly exposed to what it takes to get there quite a few lose the ambition and turn around. If you want to be successful in Network Marketing, you have to not be one of them.

Your first year in Network Marketing is the toughest. It is during this year that you will fall short of your earning expectations, and it is this first year where you learn to turn self doubt into self confidence. By the end of year one, you will have greater knowledge of the industry as a whole. You will have earned your emotional toughness and have learned that positive overcomes negative when you make a decision to adapt a positive attitude and positive surroundings. Much can happen during a year, but in the business world a year is a very short period of time.

No one knows you better than you know yourself, but sometimes we have to step outside of ourselves to look in to see the reality. Maybe you are the type that is very good at making a commitment. Maybe you are one of those persons that once decided upon making a commitment you usually sticks to it, or maybe it is something within yourself that you are willing to change if the end justifies the means. If you want to be successful in Network Marketing you need to make a commitment, and that commitment is usually to look beyond year one.
